To enhance the attractiveness and sobriety of stations, Equans has equipped the stations of the Grand Paris Express
Equans' expertise has enabled us to equip many of the Grand Paris Express stations with electrical and HVAC systems, guaranteeing optimum comfort while complying with environmental requirements.
Equans France's expertise at the service of users
This type of equipment is then used to support a multitude of user services, for which Equans is responsible for installation and follow-up:
Intelligent and sustainable lighting, ticketing, sanitary facilities, passenger information, video protection and badge control.
The very first of the 68 stations, the Aéroport d'Orly station, was successfully handed over at the end of March 2024.
Its HV/LV, CFo/CFa (High and Low Voltage) and HVAC technical installations were carried out by teams from Bouygues Energies & Services, Ineo and Axima.
This will also be the case for the future Les Grésillons station, designed to accommodate 60,000 passengers a day, whose technical equipment will be built entirely by employees of Equans France, Axima AIR and Ineo Tertiaire under the Design & Build contract won by the NGE/WEBUILD/Equans consortium for the section of line 15 linking the Bécon-les-Bruyères station to the Saint-Denis-Pleyel station.
Bouygues Energies & Services has also supplied or will supply low-voltage, high-voltage and low-voltage installations, as well as HVAC and plumbing, for the stations at Le Bourget (RER B), Saint Maur (RER A), Stade de France (L15), Mairie d'Aubervilliers (L15), Fort d'Aubervilliers (L15), Villejuif-Gustave Roussy (lines 14 and 15) and Drancy-Bobigny (L15).
For the Villejuif-Gustave Roussy station, Ineo is concentrating on CFo/CFa electrical installations.
As a reminder, heavy current refers to electrical circuits that transmit large quantities of energy to ensure train propulsion, as well as certain installations requiring high power.
Low current, on the other hand, refers to electrical circuits carrying signals or low-power energy, generally for communication, signalling or control systems.
Installation and maintenance of BMS systems
Equans Digital, along with Ineo and Axima AEE, installs and maintains a variety of equipment in the stations of the Grand Paris Express, using a Building Management System (BMS).
Among the infrastructures concerned, Equans entities have installed the GTB systems at IGR Villejuif, Vert de Maisons, Issy (RER and metro), and Fort d'Issy Vanves-Clamart stations.
As for Bouygues Energies & Services, the electrical teams installed the GTB at Saint-Maur Créteil station (L15) and Le Bourget station (L16 and L17). GTB is a solution for managing and optimizing a building's technical installations.
In concrete terms, supervision software, combined with local PLCs, ensures remote control and management of all building equipment, such as electricity (TGBT, TD, lighting), energy metering, HVAC management (heating and cooling), plumbing, elevators, as well as video-protection and passenger information systems.
Useful information is monitored in real time, both locally via an Ethernet network, and remotely via a simple Internet connection.
By optimizing the management of equipment such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and lighting, BMS can generate energy savings of up to 30%, depending on the building's settings and infrastructure.
What's more, these systems help to reduce breakdowns and energy leaks, thus limiting unnecessary consumption and further enhancing the energy efficiency of the plant.
Orly Airport station, a worksite showcasing Equans' expertise
Among the most emblematic projects in terms of synergy between Equans France entities, the new Grand Paris Express Aéroport d'Orly station, which will serve lines 14 and 18, has been equipped at building level by Axima (HVAC, plumbing, fire safety), for electrical installations (high-voltage, low-voltage and corrugated networks) by Bouygues Energies & Services, and by Ineo for complex building electrical installations and power distribution for the station's various functions.
The combination of these skills will guarantee a safe, comfortable and energy-efficient environment, but also resilient and capable of ensuring continuity of service in the event of an outage...
Added to this are the anti-intrusion and video-protection installations, the wiring and programming of the fire safety system mentioned above, and the installation of the platform facades and associated signalling systems, also carried out by Equans at the station.
