The Order of the Energy Companions: Excellence in the Field
Founded in November 2023 by Equans France, the Ordre des Compagnons des Énergies now brings together some 350 passionate men and women—workers and technicians—recognized for their professionalism, their hands-on expertise, and their desire to pass on their know-how.
This initiative continues the tradition established in 1963 by Francis Bouygues, who created an order to honor the most deserving journeymen on construction sites and encourage the passing down of skills.

The Order of the Compagnons des Énergies symbolizes excellence in craftsmanship, a culture of shared technical expertise and professional conduct, as well as a strong commitment to passing on this knowledge within Equans and the Bouygues Group.

The History of the Compagnonnage at Equans
The guild tradition is a long-standing value of the Bouygues Group. The Order of the Compagnons du Minorange, founded over 60 years ago by Francis Bouygues, symbolizes a deep sense of pride:

Following Equans’ integration into the Bouygues Group in 2023, Jérôme Stubler, CEO of Equans, sought to carry on this tradition by creating the Order of the Companions of Energy, starting in France.
