The many potentials of intelligent urban lighting
As a major player in public lighting in France, EQUANS France works with local authorities and businesses to develop tailor-made lighting plans that can save up to 80% in energy costs. The group relies in particular on LED technologies, which consume much less energy than sodium lamps and last ten times longer. With the help of a presence sensor or an urban lighting management program, they can be used to modulate light intensity late at night or when there is no movement near a lamppost.
