Defence and Sovereignty: Resilience in the face of high-intensity threats
In a geopolitical context marked by the resurgence of high-intensity conflicts and the emergence of hybrid threats, securing command capabilities is an absolute priority. Global instability and the proliferation of disruptive technologies (directed-energy weapons, electromagnetic cyberattacks, non-strategic nuclear threats) necessitate strengthening the electromagnetic protection of the state’s critical infrastructure.
The 3 pillars of current risk :
- Preservation of decision-making centers: In the event of a major attack, the continuity and effectiveness of the chain of command depends directly on the immunity of its electronic systems to threats such as IEMN-HA.
- Electronic warfare and ROEM: The capture of compromising signals (TEMPEST) and the sabotage of information networks are now permanent vectors of destabilization.
- State continuity: Territorial resilience depends on the ability of critical infrastructures (energy, telecoms, servers) to withstand a global electromagnetic pulse, thus guaranteeing a coordinated response from armed forces.
“ Ensuring the electromagnetic integrity of vital infrastructures means guaranteeing France's freedom of decision and action, whatever the threat environment. ”
Why is electromagnetic hardening vital?
SURVIVAL IEMN-HA
Complete protection against E1, E2, E3 (High Altitude) electromagnetic pulses.
TEMPEST SAFETY
Protection against electromagnetic espionage and neutralization of compromise risks.
SERVICE CONTINUITY
Guarantee the immunity of servers and networks to both internal and malicious interference.
SOUVERAINETE
Strengthening the resilience of sensitive points (OIV) and command centers.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Why choose Ineo Defense over a conventional building contractor?
Unlike a general builder, Ineo Defense is a critical systems integrator. Our expertise in signal processing and electronic warfare enables us to design protection systems that not only isolate the building, but also guarantee the operational survival of the electronics and communications it houses.
Do your solutions comply with French military standards?
All our installations are designed to meet the most stringent requirements:
- GAM-T-20 (Hardening of defense systems).
- MIL-STD-188-125 (IEMN-HA protection).
- ANSSI guidelines for TEMPEST (anti-compromission) protection.
What attenuation performance do you guarantee?
We guarantee attenuation of up to 100 dB over a wide frequency range. This performance is systematically verified by on-site measurement campaigns (injection or radiation tests) before delivery and during periodic audits.
Do you work on existing buildings (Retrofit)?
Yes, we do. We have developed specific expertise in hardening existing infrastructures. After a vulnerability audit, we propose modular shielding solutions or reinforcement of penetration points (filters, waveguides) to bring your sites up to date with new threats.
How can I ensure that the shielding will last over time?
Electromagnetic sealing can deteriorate (seal wear, corrosion, infrastructure modifications). Ineo Défense offers MCO (Maintien en Condition Opérationnelle) contracts including preventive maintenance of armored doors, filter checks and periodic recertification measures.
Are your teams authorized to work on sensitive sites?
Yes. As a long-standing partner of the armed forces and the BITD, our teams hold the highest levels of security clearances required to work on classified programs and at strategic sites (Restricted Areas, command centers, etc.).
What is electromagnetic radiation shielding?
Electromagnetic shielding involves creating a barrier between the source of electromagnetic fields and the object to be protected. This technique uses conductive materials such as aluminum or copper to prevent radiation from entering or leaving a given area. Shielding works by reflecting electromagnetic waves at the interface of the conductive material, protecting electronic equipment from interference and ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of installations.
How effective is electromagnetic shielding?
The effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding is expressed in decibels (dB) and measures the attenuation capacity of electromagnetic fields. This performance varies according to material thickness, electrical conductivity, wave frequency and magnetic permeability. A 60 dB shield reduces radiation by a factor of a million, while professional solutions achieve up to 80 dB attenuation.
