Last month, our teams were in Prévessin (01) for the inauguration ceremony of the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. An important milestone in CERN's quest for scientific excellence!
At the ceremony, Yves Nussbaum, Industry Market Director at Equans France was joined by Professor Joachim Mnich, Director of Research and Informatics, and Enrica Porcari, Head of CERN's Information Technology Department, as well as Aurélie Charillon, Mayor of Prévessin-Moëns.
Our teams were responsible for the design-build of this innovative infrastructure, and are now in charge of maintaining the building and its technical equipment over a 10-year period.
More modern and #energy efficient, the new datacenter's facilities will be monitored for 1 year, to ensure that CERN, one of the world's largest and most prestigious scientific laboratories, achieves a PUE (energy efficiency index) of less than 1.15, a score unheard of in the industry!
