EQUANS France is participating in the construction of the Tour Mirabeau, the third tallest tower in Marseille. A major project launched by CMA CGM and Bouygues Immobilier. The contract won on fluid macro-lots illustrates our expertise in smart building (intelligent buildings).
Exceptional logistics for this new generation tower
At 85 metres high and with 21 floors, the Mirabeau Tower has been designed to correspond to new ways of working. EQUANS France's recognized expertise in smart building will contribute to making this tower a benchmark in environmental matters. A total of 21,800 m² of floor space will soon be built. The consortium between Bright, CMA CGM and Bouygues Immobilier enables us to cover all the specific requirements thanks to our technical know-how. Delivery is scheduled for 2023.
Our HVAC, electrical engineering and fire safety experts are mobilised to meet this dual demand for resource efficiency and workplace improvement. With the support of our specialists, we have used BIM technology, i.e. building information modelling, to propose specific solutions that favour local resources.
Expertise mobilised
In charge of the CFO-CFA, HVAC-Smoke Control, Plumbing, Fire Safety and BMS work packages, we are putting several of our areas of expertise to work on this tower.
To meet the project's ambitions, we are designing innovative equipment, such as radiant ceilings, and making the most of existing infrastructures. Specific solutions have already been proposed, such as the production of heat by the Thassalia seawater network, which uses marine thermal energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 70%.
Because safety is a priority, studies have already been initiated. Our expertise in fire safety and BMS, smoke extraction and plumbing will ensure reliable and durable equipment.
The Mirabeau Tower illustrates the challenges of Smart Building: building attractive places to live and work by equipping these buildings with intelligent, custom-designed systems. This 38-month contract to build the city's third tallest tower on the Marseilles waterfront represents a real solution for the future.
