The Challenges Facing Data Centers
Information and communication technologies rely on data that flows through data centers and computing centers. These strategic infrastructures enable the storage, processing, backup, and protection of data. With the explosion of digital solutions, global digital data is growing by 40% annually, and the data center market is booming.
Your Challenges Are at the Heart of Our Approach
-
- Ensuring the reliability of infrastructureEquans has expertise in cooling and electrical systems to design, build, and ensure the availability of this critical equipment
-
-
- Reduce delivery timesSupport the development of your data centers through high-quality project and facility management
-
-
- Optimize Your PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)Energy efficiency in facilities through the systematic recovery of waste heat from air conditioning systems
-
-
- Comply with international norms and standards, technical performance requirements, deadlines, and costs

Expertise and Solutions for Your Data Centers
Controlled environment
Our cleanroom and HVAC experts provide you with the expertise and best practices to ensure the highest level of air conditioning service (temperature, availability).
Fire Safety in Data Centers
Do you need to ensure the protection of technical equipment (servers, technical rooms, battery systems), secure your data, and maintain service continuity for your customers?
Because fire risk is one of the greatest threats to data centers, we offer customized support with a dedicated team for your data center’s fire protection.
With over 40 years of certification in fire safety, we protect data centers with sprinkler systems, water mist and inert gas by designing, installing, and maintaining fire safety systems.
Emergency Power
Equans has electrical experts specializing in transformers, inverters, and emergency generators to ensure the reliability of data centers
A Customized Solution
Equans covers the entire value chain for your data center redesign, expansion, or construction projects:
- Planning,
- Design,
- Engineering and Construction,
- Operations and Maintenance,
- Energy Solutions
Heat Recovery
Temperature control in a data center generates a massive amount of wasted thermal energy, and Equans specializes in solutions for recovering that energy
Facilities Management & Multidisciplinary Maintenance
Taking action every day and at the local level to create buildings that are more sustainable, more energy-efficient, and better suited to the needs of their occupants.
DATA4GROUP & Equans
Design and construction of 4 data centers and associated buildings + maintenance contract
The challenges:
- Need for a partner to handle the design and construction of 4 data centers and associated buildings (DC01 through DC05 + Administration Building, with DC6 to follow in construction)
Our solutions:
- Engineering methods, turnkey solutions, and replicability
- Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, control systems, underground drainage systems, commissioning, and fire safety
- Supply and installation of power cables and electrical panels (main distribution panel, branch circuit panel)
- Supply and installation of secondary power distribution systems
- Supply and installation of access control, video surveillance, and fire detection systems
- HVAC: 100,000 m³/h; installed power: 70 MVA - total length of power cables: 5,000 km - 5,000 smoke detectors
