At construction sites, sporting and cultural events, and in remote areas not connected to the power grid, companies are increasingly expressing a need for a low-carbon solution for their power supply. To meet this growing demand, Equans has developed Hyvision, a reliable, robust, and secure solution that includes, among other features, an innovative and high-performance power board.

A larger on-site energy reserve
At the heart of Hyvision, the control panel connects the hydrogen tanks to the hydrogen-powered generators. Custom-designed to meet high energy demands, it offers the unique capability to simultaneously connect 1 to 8 hydrogen frames—an exclusive Equans feature that significantly extends the operating range of the hydrogen-powered generator.
Safe Hydrogen Management: A Necessity
The explosive nature of hydrogen requires safe management throughout its entire life cycle, from storage to use. Once hydrogen has been delivered to the site in sealed cylindrical steel cylinders, accurately monitoring consumption, anticipating supply disruptions, and detecting leaks becomes a complex but essential task.

Hyvision’s turnkey low-carbon power generation solution reduces CO2 emissions by 70% to 80% compared to a diesel generator, which equates to approximately 1.15 kg of CO2 avoided per kWh of electricity generated. This reduction is calculated based on both primary energy production (hydrogen vs. diesel) and the site’s operational phase.
The Turntable: Ensuring Energy Continuity
Positioned as the go-to solution, the control unit—equipped with pressure and temperature sensors—collects and transmits real-time data on hydrogen consumption and available volume. When the hydrogen in one frame runs out, it automatically switches to another frame, ensuring a continuous supply to the generator without human intervention.
An indispensable and reliable tool for management and monitoring
Thanks to real-time analysis of consumption data collected by the platform, Equans and its customers are able to very accurately anticipate the delivery of new frames to the site, thereby ensuring service continuity and reducing hydrogen waste. This solution also makes it possible to detect any potential incidents (leaks, excessive consumption, etc.) and to respond quickly on-site in the event of a problem.
