How can we address the maintenance challenges of hydrogen infrastructure?
A key concern for manufacturers in the hydrogen sector is the need to ensure the reliability and continuity of operations. This pursuit of stability encompasses not only infrastructure maintenance but also sustained involvement throughout the value chain.
From design to maintenance: a single point of contact
Recognizing the challenges faced by both industrial companies and local governments in developing hydrogen projects, Equans has established a four-phase approach:
Operation and Maintenance: Results-Oriented Contracts
Equans offers a realistic approach to the operation and maintenance of hydrogen facilities. We structure our contracts around concrete performance objectives. This pragmatic approach allows our clients to focus on their core business, while leaving it to Equans to ensure the long-term sustainability of their facilities.
Monitoring and Management Tools
To ensure proactive maintenance, we use tools such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), sometimes combined with a Centralized Technical Management (CTM) or Building Management System (BMS). These tools ensure complete traceability of equipment and performance, thereby providing greater transparency regarding our service calls.
“ Drawing on our expertise in the industrial sector—particularly in the hydrogen (H2) industry—we offer our clients maintenance and operation services for their facilities through performance-based contracts. ”
Lean Management: An Optimized Approach
With a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement, we also embrace the principles of Lean Management. From visual management to problem-solving, every aspect of our work is optimized. This allows us to precisely meet our clients’ needs, reduce response times, and build on our lessons learned.
A multidisciplinary team dedicated to sustainable projects
Project Managers, Methods Engineers (Maintenance Engineering), Energy Managers, Instrumentation Technicians, Automation Technicians, Electrical Technicians, Electromechanical Technicians, Refrigeration Technicians, Heating Technicians, etc.: Comprising approximately 60 skilled workers, our diverse team consists
of competent professionals, each bringing specific expertise. This approach allows us to respond in a targeted manner to the specific needs of hydrogen infrastructure.
By focusing our approach on results-oriented goals, operational flexibility, and our industrial expertise, we aim to strengthen our relationship with our clients by offering them distinctive, innovative, and long-term solutions.
