GoMedia's digital innovations secure funding from the U.K. Department for Transport

Improving the accessibility of rail transportation for people with visual and hearing impairments

GoMedia, a subsidiary of Icomera and Equans—the newly formed leader in multi-technical services—is supporting three pioneering digital solutions to improve the accessibility of rail transportation for people with visual and hearing impairments. The projects are funded by the Department for Transport as part of the 2021 First of a Kind (FOAK21) competition, worth 9 million pounds, provided by Innovate UK (part of UKRI), which aims to make the UK’s rail network greener, cleaner, and more accessible through innovation.
