Euronaval 2026: Exavision Launches ACTIOS, a Compact Observation System for Ships and Autonomous Platforms
At Euronaval 2026, Exavision, a subsidiary of Equans France, announced the launch of ACTIOS, a new compact, gyrostabilized optronic/electro-optical solution designed to strengthen its portfolio of onboard maritime surveillance systems. Combining multiple sensors, image stabilization, and artificial intelligence tools, this system enables the detection, identification, and tracking of targets, day or night, despite the vessel’s movements. Compact and lightweight, it complements the SEAMOS line, designed specifically for use on high-speed vessels and autonomous platforms.
A solution tailored to the constraints of lightweight, autonomous platforms
With ACTIOS, Exavision is expanding its product line to meet the needs of navies, coast guards, and maritime security operators.
Its compact size and light weight make it easy to install on platforms where available space and payload capacity are limited: high-speed boats, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), or other autonomous systems.
ACTIOS can also be installed on military and quasi-public vessels, as well as mobile land vehicles.
Designed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it supports operators in their missions to monitor, identify, and track targets in demanding environments.
Sensors and software combined to facilitate monitoring
ACTIOS combines a high-resolution visible-light camera, a thermal camera available in three configurations, and a laser rangefinder to measure the distance to a target. The thermal camera enables observation both day and night, while gyroscopic stabilization compensates for platform movements to maintain a stable image, even when sea conditions deteriorate.
The system also includes detection capabilities, automatic target tracking, and video analysis powered by onboard artificial intelligence. These tools help operators analyze images and monitor the evolving situation.
In addition to the sensors, ACTIOS combines the EXACORE software suite, DEEPSIGHT_AI image processing and artificial intelligence technologies, and the mission analysis and management functions developed by Exavision. Operators thus have access to a comprehensive solution—combining hardware and software—designed to simplify integration and use.
An expanded range for various maritime surveillance missions
ACTIOS complements the two solutions in the SEAMOS line: SEAMOS-MR-5K, designed for surveillance and countering medium-range asymmetric threats, and SEAMOS-LR-10K, designed for long-range detection and identification.
Exavision now offers a range of solutions, from surveillance on lightweight, autonomous platforms to long-range observation. All of these systems benefit from Exavision’s expertise in onboard optronics—which combines optical and electronic technologies to observe and monitor the environment—as well as its mission and analysis software.
“ With ACTIOS, we are taking a new step forward in the development of our optronic product line. By combining state-of-the-art sensors, embedded intelligence, and mission software into a single solution, we offer our customers a comprehensive system that is easy to integrate and compliant with international standards. ACTIOS naturally complements the SEAMOS product line and meets the growing needs of next-generation ships, drones, and autonomous systems. ”
