STORM DETECTION – ADEMO101
The system consists of an electromagnetic antenna known as a “frame” installed on the roof and a processing unit that detects lightning strikes (ground-to-cloud, cloud-to-cloud, or intra-cloud) within a radius of approximately 20 km.
The processing unit alerts the user locally via its built-in buzzer and features a digital output to remotely control distant signaling devices.
The device is calibrated to measure an electromagnetic field of 0.32 A/m.
Technical Specifications
- Measurement Principle - Electromagnetic
- Detection range up to 20 km
- Adjustable detection lead time up to 20 min
- Output for alarm transmission
Application
ADEMO101 is recommended for installations where the lightning risk assessment does not identify a major hazard and/or the economic stakes are limited, such as microwave relay stations, golf courses, isolated facilities, etc.
The ADEMO101 can be used in conjunction with the AMEO340 to correlate the alarms from both devices in order to increase the system’s effectiveness.
The ADEMO101 is a Class C device according to the standard: IEC 62793 relating to lightning detectors.
