Keeping Pace with a Changing Market
To meet the challenges of a demanding market in the midst of transition, where hygiene, product quality, and safety standards are absolute imperatives, Equans France positions itself as a true “partner” to the cosmetics industry.
The Group acts as a designer, builder, and general contractor for projects involving the creation from scratch of production and processing plants, as well as the expansion of manufacturing facilities. Working closely with the production process, Equans France strives to support its clients in three key areas: digital, energy, and industrial transformation.
To be at the heart of the challenges facing an industry in transition
Acting as a coordinator, Equans France provides customized solutions and serves as a single point of contact, ensuring the safety and performance of installations. In this diverse market, which encompasses both hygiene and beauty products, the Group meets national and international quality standards: the implementation of the REACH Regulation to protect human health and the environment from risks associated with chemical substances; the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for cosmetics, whether in ensuring that cosmetic production processes comply with GMP standards or in the testing and storage of products prior to market release; and the standardization of organic and natural ingredients.

Unique expertise in cosmetology
From the production of pastes, creams, liquids, and powders to the packaging of tubes, bottles, or vials, environments must be controlled and classified, and water must be purified. Processes must be closed-system, cleanable in place, disinfectable, and sterilizable.
- Areas of ExpertiseTo ensure optimal and secure production, Equans France is involved in the design and development of:
- Classified manufacturing facilities (temperature control, air filtration, and humidity levels)
- air filtration system
- Storage and Distribution of Process Fluids
- a system for collecting and transporting manufacturing effluents (used and unsuitable materials) to treatment facilities
Creating Value Through Recognized Expertise
L’Oréal, Dior, Coty… Drawing on cutting-edge expertise in electrical and HVAC engineering, we add value to our clients’ buildings—whether we’re supporting a local small business or a global industrial company. We manage all trades and provide our clients with consulting and installation services to address all their challenges: liquid waste recovery, management of ATEX zones (explosive atmospheres), fire safety, and more.
Fragrance: When Innovation Stems from Our Multidisciplinary Expertise... Take It from the Experts!
What is the alcohol freezing skid for continuous filtration? An innovation made possible by the adaptation of a fragrance-making process by the climate and electrical experts at Equans France. Let’s explain! To filter a fragrance, a manufacturer must mix and then cool a blend of alcohols, fragrances, and colorants. During this cooling process to -5 °C—known as “glaçage”—only the alcohol remains liquid. As a result, all other components that have not dissolved in this mixture solidify and can be removed through a filter. Free of residues and foreign matter, the mixture emerging from the filter is homogeneous, clear, and of high quality.
Previously, the filtration of fragrance mixtures was carried out in batch mode: a fixed amount of time had to be allocated for cleaning the pipes and filters before processing each fragrance, thereby preventing cross-contamination. Our expertise in HVAC and electrical engineering has enabled us to implement a new process that filters the mixture continuously as it is cooled. This continuous filtration process dedicates one filter and one tank per fragrance, thereby eliminating these “time-consuming” preparation periods. This innovation saves time, reduces costs and resource consumption, and provides flexibility and agility in production line management.
