Equans supports RATP in its Very High Speed Network project
Equans embarked in 2014 alongside RATP and Nokia on the Réseau Très Haut Débit (RTHD) project, one of the communication networks carrying Europe's largest and most complex video streams.
His aim: to provide an IP/MPLS network capable of supporting all RATP services: surveillance cameras, telephony, TETRA, data service and a new VMS (software centralizing video surveillance).
A score of Equans employees were mobilized across the project's entire value chain through the Ineo UTS, Ineo Infracom and Ineo Tinea entities. Equans experts were responsible for the video infrastructure, installation services and integration of software adapted to each use case. In addition to these commitments, RATP benefited from personalized customer support. The entities are now responsible for maintaining these systems in operational condition.
The cohesion with partner teams has enabled us to develop an in-depth understanding of specific needs and an ability to anticipate and then resolve challenges. Beyond the context of the health crisis, the staff faced severe operational constraints. Interventions were carried out during passenger service, forcing migrations to be carried out without impacting on systems in order to maintain a high level of safety within the RATP network.
Today, RATP security PCs have access to over 13,000 cameras, which can be consulted in real time and continuously thanks to a secure, redundant network.
