The City of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges Aims for 100% LED Lighting!
On Wednesday, September 20, Mr. Bruno Toussaint, Mayor of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, and Liêm Cao Thai, Ineo’s Northeast Regional Director within Equans France’s Connected Cities and Regions division, signed the contract to renew the Global Public Performance Contract (MPGP) for the city of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.
This decision stems from the success of the first contract awarded to Ineo Réseaux Nord Est, which resulted in 60.83% energy savings across part of the existing lighting infrastructure.
Building on these results, the city and Equans have agreed on a new goal: a 100% LED-lit community that is more energy-efficient and increasingly sustainable within nine years!
This contract covers the modernization, renovation, operation, maintenance, and management of the street lighting systems and related facilities for the joint procurement group comprising the city of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. Among other things, it calls for the renovation of an additional 2,139 light fixtures, 180 streetlight poles, 300 motion-sensor lights, and 83 control cabinets, with the goal of making the city 100% LED by 2032 and achieving an energy consumption of 655,583 kWh after the work is completed, representing an energy savings of 63.58% compared to baseline consumption.
