Digital Transformation for the Plenary Hall at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg
For two years, our Ineo teams—a division of Equans France—have been working on the renovation of the multimedia equipment in the plenary chamber of the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg (67), the iconic seat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 1977.
This institution, comprising 46 member states, is dedicated to promoting democracy, human rights, and the rule of law throughout Europe and beyond.
The plenary chamber, with its 648 seats and 549 conference stations, is now equipped with modern, scalable technology designed to meet users’ needs.
2024 : une année riche !
Our mission for this project? To provide users with a seamless and efficient experience through custom programming of multimedia devices. Our Smart Building teams handled the installation, configuration, fine-tuning, training, and commissioning:
- Installation and configuration of conference, simultaneous interpretation, and voting equipment, designed to improve the flow of communication among participants.
- The implementation of a video capture system for speakers.
- The integration of two LED walls for live broadcasts.
- The modernization of control rooms, interpretation booths, and podiums.
- Installation of a centralized control system to simplify the management of all equipment.
The pnext step for our team? Providing maintenance and operations support over the next five years. We thank the Council of Europe for their trust.
