Recruitment and Job Accommodations for Workers with Disabilities
“My disability is silence,” says Céline. After a long period of denial, she has learned to live with her hearing loss while continuing her career as part of our teams. Like more than 80% of people with disabilities, Céline lives with an invisible disability. She reminds us how essential it is to create an environment where everyone can express themselves, be understood, and be recognized first and foremost for their skills.
In 2024, we strengthened our efforts by:
- revising our onboarding process, enabling employees with disabilities to learn about our disability policy and receive personalized support from the moment they join the company;
- adapting work arrangements to meet the specific needs of our employees;
- the rollout of a new, specialized training program to raise awareness among recruiters, managers, and teams about the realities of disability;
- enhanced support, particularly regarding the Recognition of Status as a Disabled Worker (RQTH), to help our employees better understand the procedures and take advantage of appropriate support measures;
- preventive measures to anticipate the risk of incapacity and promote continued employment (e.g., skills assessments, training, etc.)
Raising Awareness to Change Attitudes
Changing perceptions of disability means enabling everyone to better understand, take action, and create a more inclusive work environment.
Our awareness-raising initiatives, such as Disability Awareness Month and hosting middle and high school interns with disabilities, enable our employees to get actively involved through workshops, personal stories, and immersive experiences.

Turning to the Sheltered and Adapted Employment Sector
With more than 240 partner Work-Based Support Facilities (ESAT) and Adapted Enterprises (EA) throughout the country, we have extensive expertise in utilizing the Protected and Adapted Employment Sector (STPA). Beyond our subcontracting services, we offer contractual arrangements that allow our clients to benefit from the recognition of the STPA in their annual “Objective for the Employment of Workers with Disabilities” (OETH) report. This can range from simply assisting with the selection of an EA or ESAT for a specific service, to subcontracting or staff leasing, all the way to establishing a joint contracting arrangement for the delivery of a service package. The Procurement department has also received training on the tools provided by Hosmoz and the Inclusion Marketplace to source organizations capable of meeting their needs.
