Health and Safety Training
Equans France has chosen, in the area of health and safety, to have an in-house team of trainers reporting to the health and safety department.
10 trainers and 3 managers make up a team dedicated to developing and maintaining our employees’ skills.
- Regulatory TrainingOur team provides training in courses such as NCF18510 (work on electrical structures and installations and in electrical environments), fall protection PPE, assembly and disassembly of mobile scaffolding, ATEX standard awareness, and workplace first aid. Two mobile training units travel throughout France to be as close as possible to our field teams. Each unit consists of a training room and a practice area. Following the end-of-course evaluations, the trainers issue a report and prepare the training certificates.
- Health and Safety Leadership TrainingFrom the executive committee to frontline supervisors, the Health and Safety Department has designed and delivers tailored training on Health and Safety Leadership. For front-line supervisors, the training takes place over one day and is based on a typical week in the life of a front-line supervisor, taking into account key steps in prevention. Managers of major projects attend a one-day session at the OPPBTP (Professional Organization for Prevention in the Building and Public Works Sectors) focused on safety, featuring a specific curriculum.
- Digital AwarenessWe provide our employees with a suite of micro-learning modules that allow them to become more aware of and learn at their own pace about various topics: operating machinery, first aid, road safety, and our golden rules. The content is developed either in partnership with the OPPBTP for heavy equipment and road safety, or by our in-house experts, including our trainers.
Certifications and Standards
In addition to having employees who are trained, qualified and certified, Equans’ local agencies hold certifications such as MASE or standards such as ISO 45001.
A guarantee of quality and credibility, they are issued by independent organizations and demonstrate the company’s accountability and its commitment to continuous improvement.
MASE Certification
MASE certification aims to meet objectives related to three key areas commonly grouped under the acronym “SSE”:
- Safety
- Health
- The environment
Equans meets the specific requirements set forth by this standard (MASE).
It enables us to:
- Reduce the number of workplace accidents
- Continuously improve occupational health and safety
- Implement management systems that promote performance in terms of safety and competitiveness
- Promote our systems to companies requiring SSE certification
The ISO 45001 Standard
Equans’ offices are ISO 45001 certified. This ISO standard aims to reduce workplace risks by creating safe and improved working conditions.
