Project Phoenix: A Major Industrial Transformation for Minakem in the Hauts-de-France Region
Founded more than 65 years ago, Minakem is a key player in the fine chemicals industry, producing active ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry. In response to sustained growth and the demands of Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs), Minakem is launching the Phoenix project, a new production facility in Beuvry-la-Forêt aimed at modernizing and expanding its capabilities.
This strategic industrial project is part of a context of expansion and high technological sophistication, where safety, quality, and performance are top priorities to meet the challenges of the pharmaceutical sector.
Ingenica and Equans: A Custom Engineering Partnership for an Innovative Industrial Facility
To successfully achieve this industrial expansion, Minakem chose Ingenica, part of Equans Process Solutions, an expert in integrated and multidisciplinary engineering dedicated to the process industries. The team took charge of:

The preliminary design (APS) and final design (APD) for the new workshop and all utility systems.

The integration of automated equipment at the cutting edge of pharmaceutical technology.

Increasing the capacity of utilities essential to production.

Comprehensive project management: budget, scheduling, procurement, cost tracking, and construction management.

General contracting for all trades: civil engineering, processes and equipment, piping, electrical, automation, HVAC, instrumentation.
The teams successfully rose to this challenge despite significant constraints: limited space, continuous operation of the industrial site, delicate lifting operations, and simultaneous work in confined areas. The goal of zero accidents was achieved thanks to exemplary rigor.
