Aquascope Wins an Award at the Thea Awards: French Expertise Shines in Hollywood!
On Saturday, March 15, Futuroscope officially received one of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry for its brand-new water park, Aquascope, at the 31st annual Thea Awards ceremony in Hollywood. This international recognition celebrates the innovation, technology, and immersive experience offered by this one-of-a-kind water park. This bold venture was made possible thanks to the expertise of Ineo, a division of Equans France, which designed the lighting design and implemented a centralized hypervisor for the park.
International Recognition for an Innovative and Sustainable Attraction
Aquascope is part of Futuroscope’s innovation strategy, reinforcing its position as a global leader in family entertainment. Spanning more than 6,000 m², Aquascope offers a unique and immersive experience through three themed areas: “Sensations,” for dynamic aquatic adventures; “Immersion,” where technology enhances the water experience; and “Aqua-ludique,” dedicated to family fun.
Aquascope exemplifies Futuroscope’s commitment to balancing entertainment with environmental responsibility. This immersive project relies on technologies designed to optimize energy consumption and water management. Powered 100% by renewable energy, it incorporates a water recycling and purification system to minimize its impact on resources.
A water park that’s as beautiful as it is smart
One of the Aquascope’s major highlights? Its scenic lighting, designed to transform each pool into a unique setting. Thanks to the 680 light fixtures installed by Ineo, a division of Equans France, and the management of various lighting scenarios, each pool is transformed into a magical setting where architecture and lighting effects blend harmoniously to offer visitors a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.
The Aquascope is also a model of energy efficiency thanks to the integration of a centralized hypervisor. Like a digital brain, it continuously monitors and analyzes data from the site’s various systems in real time: pool water temperature, air quality in the attractions, automated control of building windows and doors, and precise monitoring of the 75 electricity meters. In total, since its installation, nearly 3,000 data points have been collected to ensure proper technical operation.
Currently deployed across three Aquascope buildings and two park attractions, this hypervisor is intended to be gradually expanded to the park’s other sites, ultimately achieving fully centralized management that includes lighting, air conditioning, and heating. Beyond energy optimization, it also provides predictive maintenance, detecting anomalies before they affect the site’s operations. A technological breakthrough by Ineo, for a more efficient water park that offers a more enjoyable experience for visitors.
“ The Thea Awards jury honored the Aquascope for its technical and artistic excellence, praising a production that redefines the standards of aquatic entertainment. This international recognition confirms Futuroscope’s innovation and expertise in the global leisure industry. ”
