A high-performance fire protection system
For a SEVESO-classified industrial site, Equans Process Solutions designed and implemented an fire protection system that is innovative and highly effective, incorporating a foam system coupled with motorized thermal cameras. Designed and installed by our teams, this system detects and neutralizes fires within the first few seconds. It integrates electrical systems, automation, and piping for optimized control.
Result:
- The installation of a network of 90 motorized valves controlled from a dedicated sprinkler control room across the entire site,
- 1,500 meters of piping installed
- Thanks to this infrastructure, foam is sprayed precisely where needed in the event of a fire.
Objective: to secure critical facilities, protect operators, and ensure production continuity.
A 65-metric-ton welded steel structure
At an industrial production site, our teams carried out the design, fabrication, and installation of a support structure intended to accommodate a new industrial process.
Key project highlights:
- Custom design of the steel frame structure,
- 65 metric tons of metal welded, assembled, and installed in a confined space,
- Lifting and installation made possible by meticulous advance planning,
- Multi-disciplinary coordination: sheet metal fabrication, civil engineering, lifting, certified welding, and quality control.
The entire structure was fabricated in our dedicated workshop before being transported and assembled on site.
Result: a robust structure made of S355 steel with thick walls—up to 60 mm—delivered on time, with minimal impact on the site.
