Issues

  • The FREMM (Multi-Mission Frigate) is a Franco-Italian project for a second-generation class of frigates (10 ships) equipped with the most advanced onboard technology

  • Equipping the vessel with a reliable and high-performance HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system and NBC (Nuclear, Radiological, Biological, and Chemical) protection

Solutions

  • Turnkey solution: design, procurement, manufacturing at our Lorient facilities, installation, and operation of the technical systems

    Scope of work:

  • Monitoring of all equipment to compensate for the reduced number of sailors. This highly advanced automation ensures equipment availability and faster response times
  • Equipment redundancy
  • Implementation of a magnetic-bearing chiller = new technology that is more energy-efficient and better suited to military environmental conditions (low noise level)
  • 50% energy savings
  • Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 630 metric tons of CO2 equivalent per year—equivalent to the energy consumption of 60 households

: The projected savings depend on the climate and operating time assumptions used to perform this calculation.
