Equans France is supporting Orano NPS with Industry 4.0 maintenance at the TN Eagle Factory

Orano NPS, the global leader in nuclear packaging, has reached a historic milestone with its new state-of-the-art plant: the TN Eagle Factory.

Inaugurated in Cherbourg, this next-generation plant is a technological showcase for Industry 4.0, combining automation and digitalization at an unprecedented level. To ensure the performance of this strategic facility, Orano has renewed its trust in Ineo Nucléaire, a subsidiary of Equans France, to provide multi-disciplinary and predictive maintenance for the site under a 5-year contract formalized at the WNE 2025 trade show.

This partnership aims to secure production capacity for the long term as the plant enters its decisive ramp-up phase.

To address the complexity of this plant, Ineo Nucléaire is implementing an "augmented maintenance" approach.

  • Digital Expertise and Optimization: Thanks to the Group’s digital expertise provided through Equans Digital, software, robotics, and monitoring systems are optimized to ensure maximum operational continuity. This approach combines reliability with increased productivity.
  • Comprehensive multi-disciplinary maintenance: Ineo Nucléaire provides predictive maintenance for 16 critical industrial processes at the site.
  • Next-generation human expertise: Creation of the “TN Eagle Technician” role, capable of working across the entire value chain using the E.A.G.L.E. approach (Expertise, Continuous Improvement, Availability Assurance, Leadership, Commitment & Excellence).
  • Local responsiveness: Equans France’s response teams can be on-site in less than 30 minutes when needed.
