Sustainable Transportation: Equans Will Equip the Future T Zen 4 Electric Bus Line with Smart Systems
The Equans France and Lumiplan consortium has just been selected by Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) to equip its future T Zen 4 electric bus network with an innovative (SAEIV) and radio infrastructure. This future all-electric Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line will connect Viry-Châtillon to Corbeil-Essonnes. Stretching 14 kilometers, it will provide passengers with a more reliable, sustainable, and higher-quality transportation service.
The T Zen 4 line, a pioneer in sustainable and connected mobility
Carrying more than 26,000 passengers per day, Line 402 is currently the busiest
in the entire outer suburbs. Through the implementation of the T Zen 4 line, which will
replace it on its busiest section, IDFM, the transportation authority for the
Île-de-France, aims to improve its service offerings and increase the capacity and intermodality
of its urban transit network.
The 30 vehicles on the future line, set to enter service in 2024, will be able to carry up to 140
passengers, compared to 100 for the buses currently in service. As the first 24-meter, 100
% electric buses in Île-de-France, they will also be more accessible for people with
reduced mobility (PRM).
