With a total budget of 35.5 million euros, Connecte Châlons aims to renovate and modernize the existing public services of four municipalities (Châlons-en-Champagne, Fagnières, and Saint-Martin-sur-le-Pré, as well as part of the Châlons metropolitan area) and to implement digital tools for sustainable and low-carbon management of the region.
According to Benoist Apparu, Mayor of Châlons-en-Champagne: “Connecte Châlons is a unique and powerful regional initiative to build the connected and sustainable public services of tomorrow. It has two major objectives: to meet users’ new expectations and to address energy challenges. For Châlons-en-Champagne, it naturally aligns with our zero-carbon policy, the effects of which are already being felt, with an annual reduction of 20,000 metric tons of CO₂. Above all, it is a guarantee of a new way of operating that will enable more efficient public policies and user services—for the next 20 years. ”
