AFEN is Qualiopi-certified
Founded in 2021 by Equans in France, the Nuclear Electricians Training Academy (AFEN) has just obtained Qualiopi certification. Drawing on the expertise of Ineo Nucléaire, it trains young people for careers in the nuclear industry and provides skills development for technicians eager to work in this promising sector. To meet the industry’s significant needs, it is essential to provide high-level technical training to operational staff, enabling them to master the specific requirements of nuclear sites.
Designed by operational experts at Ineo Nucléaire, a subsidiary of Equans France, the AFEN training catalog is unique in that the courses are delivered off-site. These comprehensive programs provide an opportunity to get right in the thick of things, drawing on the technical facilities of the agencies and partners.
The Qualiopi certification attests to the quality of the training program. It is part of an ongoing development process aimed at meeting the industry’s needs and addressing the challenge of carbon-free energy production. Ineo Nucléaire is proud to have earned this certification, which recognizes the rigor of the programs offered. To obtain it, it is essential to demonstrate the relevance of the modules, the consistency between theoretical and practical instruction, the quality of the instructional materials, and the skills and experience of the instructors. A surveillance audit will be conducted in 18 months, prior to the certification’s renewal every three years.
A Sustainable Solution to the Training Needs of the Nuclear Industry
Given the urgency and scale of the human resource needs required to meet the challenge of carbon neutrality, Qualiopi certification enables AFEN to embark on a virtuous path to support all stakeholders in the sector. 1,350 technicians have completed a training module, representing more than 10,000 hours coordinated by about ten trainers over the past three years. This represents a clear milestone that now drives the ambitions of both AFEN and Ineo Nucléaire.
The recognition of the quality of training management through Qualiopi certification will help accelerate the academy’s development. AFEN is poised to continue its growth by becoming a true center of technical expertise serving the nuclear industry. INEO Nucléaire is also continuing to roll out vocational training programs. Two new cohorts have just begun, training about twenty students in the trades of Electrical Installer and Design Technician.
