Pope Francis's visit to Marseille on September 22 and 23, 2023
During Pope Francis’s visit to Marseille on September 22 and 23, teams from Inéo Provence Alpes Vaucluse worked alongside the City of Marseille to inspect and ensure the compliance of the electrical systems at the sites hosting the Supreme Pontiff. This maintenance work involved the Théâtre de l’Odéon, the Palais du Pharo, and the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde Basilica.
At the same time, teams from Bouygues Energies & Service provided facility management services at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium in Marseille as part of the public-private partnership (PPP) contract for the maintenance of technical installations.
They were responsible for dismantling the seats to allow for the installation of the altar and the configuration of the high-voltage electrical systems used to power specific lighting and sound systems.
Thanks to our employees, the Vélodrome was able to host the papal Mass attended by 60,000 faithful just two days after the France-Namibia Rugby World Cup match.
