Caroline, an electrician undergoing career transition and participating in a work-study program at Bouygues Energies & Services, a division of Equans France
Previously in the advertising industry, Caroline is now retraining as part of the Electra program: a 12-month vocational training program exclusively for women, conducted in partnership with the Gustave Eiffel Center, which leads to a certification as a building electrician.
Currently a student in a work-study BTS program in electrical engineering at our Bouygues Energies & Services division, she performs tests on electrical equipment before it is put into service, while ensuring safety standards are met.
It’s a balancing act between her studies and on-site assignments, with constant demands for performance and adaptability.
What is her message to future women who want to pursue a career in a technical field?
"The energy and services sector is exciting. In my day-to-day work, I meet women on construction sites, some of whom have been with the Group for several years. I feel very supported in my career transition, and that’s a big plus!"
