BYOS: Energy Efficiency for This Hybrid Living Space in the Heart of the Grand Parc Campus in Villejuif (94)
Within this scientific hub, dedicated to health research and innovation, the BYOS building—just a stone’s throw from the Villejuif–Gustave-Roussy train station—has been completed since April 2025.
Offices, coworking spaces, and dining areas make up this 15,000 m² complex, designed in a tripod layout, which successfully diversifies its uses while adapting to new work trends. Its atrium, the hub of the building, is designed to foster interaction and collective creativity.
Up to 1,300 people can be accommodated in this space, which features extensive greenery and a terrace offering breathtaking views of Paris and the Bièvre Valley.
Addressing the challenges of optimizing energy consumption while ensuring user comfort were the objectives that guided our Axima teams—a division of Equans France—during the installation of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and smoke exhaust systems.
This work has earned the building recognition for its energy efficiency, notably through the attainment of labels and certifications such as HQE Sustainable Building, BREEAM, and E+C-.
