This installation marks a key milestone for Axima Réfrigération, a brand of Equans France, and enables the continued development of these A2L solutions following a large-scale deployment across 90 sites in France for a leading refrigeration company.



This project, the first of its kind in France, will be replicated at two other similar supermarkets in 2022.

We selected specific, high-efficiency equipment designed for this refrigerant to comply with all technical and regulatory requirements, particularly those set forth by the EN 378 standard.



The main challenge encountered in this unprecedented project was finding a manufacturer of refrigerated display cases that complied with the requirements for A2L refrigerants.

In addition, we successfully addressed regulatory constraints—particularly load limitations—by implementing appropriate safety measures (leak detection with audible and visual alarms, and shut-off valves).



This first-of-its-kind pilot project allows us to maintain our lead in these sustainable technologies and offer a range of low-carbon solutions to our customers.
