Aire nouvelle - The Collective For The Climate at Porte de Montreuil, Paris
Conceived as part of the “Reinventing Cities – Paris Porte de Montreuil” competition, organized by C40, this 55,000 m² project—divided into 9 buildings—addresses the many urban challenges facing this area in eastern Paris.
40,000 m² dedicated to offices, over 3,500 m² of coliving space, a hotel spanning over 5,000 m², and finally over 9,000 m² for retail and restaurants.
For the first time, the project aims for “global zero carbon,” taking into account not only the building’s carbon footprint over its entire lifecycle (materials and energy) but also biodiversity, the carbon footprint of users’ transportation, and the revitalization of local industries.
