The Montauban-de-Bretagne plant: a key player in innovation supporting industrial decarbonization
The Equans France facility in Montauban-de-Bretagne is a technical center where maintenance, repair, and overhaul work is performed on complex mechanical equipment to ensure its reliability and durability. With a team of 19 passionate employees, it plays a central role in supporting industries and regions in their energy transition by offering customized solutions to recover waste heat, optimize industrial processes, and develop district heating networks and heat pump systems.
Unique expertise to extend the life of equipment
With 915 m² dedicated to the workshop and store, the Montauban location stocks more than 6,000 parts, ensuring fast and efficient service.
The workshop performs 460 complete mechanical overhauls each year, covering compressors, oil pumps, and electric motors of all makes and generations.
In addition, we keep about twenty remanufactured compressors in stock.
This high-precision work helps reduce waste and limits the need to purchase new parts. This directly contributes to a more sustainable industry by reducing its carbon footprint.
Reducing Costs and Environmental Impact Through Innovation
The workshop is breaking new ground by remanufacturing parts that are no longer available on the market. These operations, carried out in partnership with specialists, make it possible to salvage compressors and thus avoid having to replace them entirely, which reduces costs and the environmental impact.
A concrete example: When the manufacturer discontinued production of the discharge ports, the workshop succeeded in replicating this essential part. This replica made it possible to reuse the compressor, extending its service life and thereby avoiding significant investments in new equipment.
