Equans’ HVAC and Security Expertise at the Service of La Géode

In late December, the Géode—an architectural and cultural icon designed by Adrien Fainsilber in 1985—reopened its doors after a six-year closure. Located in the Parc de la Villette, in Paris’s 19th arrondissement across from the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, this shimmering sphere is made up of 6,433 polished stainless steel triangles.

With a 996 m² hemispherical screen covering nearly the entire auditorium and a 4K IMAX laser projection system capable of displaying images of unparalleled clarity, the Géode offers a fully immersive experience.

For one year leading up to the opening, our Axima teams—a division of Equans France—contributed to its transformation by installing the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, smoke exhaust, plumbing, and fire safety systems to ensure comfort and safety for moviegoers coming to enjoy a fully immersive experience.
