The "Aéraulique" Escape Game, 2 Years Later!

In June 2022, Emmanuel Rambaud, Director of Axima’s Centralized Testing Department, and his team won the Innovation Trophy in the Favorites category at the Equans Empower Innovation Awards for creating the Aéraulique Escape Game.

This game is a training exercise based on team cohesion, the players’ skills, and pedagogy.

3 Questions for Emmanuel Rambaud...

In June 2022, you and your team won the Innovation Trophy in the “Coup de cœur” category at the Equans Empower Innovation Awards for the Aéraulique Escape Game. How has that changed your day-to-day lives?

This victory at the 2022 Innovation Awards was first and foremost a source of great pride and joy for the entire team. Afterward, we were inundated with requests. Many executive committees came to play the escape game. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Marie-Luce Godineau, who is the Deputy CEO of the Bouygues Group in charge of innovation.

We’ve also integrated the HVAC academies.

Training sessions make up a significant part of our schedules for me and my colleagues, but we always lead them with great joy and pleasure because it’s truly something that’s very close to our hearts.

Can we say that there’s a “before” and an “after” the Innovation Award?

Yes, indeed, there was a before and after the Innovation Trophy. This victory gave us tremendous visibility both internally and externally. In 2023, the Aéraulique Escape Game became the most in-demand training program at Axima. We had colleagues come from all over France. We have colleagues from Switzerland and Belgium. We’ve also hosted schools and external companies.

What's the next step?

The next step is to launch a new escape game—this time, a Hydraulic Escape Game. And we’re also thinking about creating an Electrical Escape Game.

We also want to continue hosting school groups. This is very, very important to us—for our continued growth and for recruiting our future apprentices and talent. In 2023, we hosted BTS classes and were fortunate to recruit two work-study students pursuing a Licence Pro degree.

And finally, I’d really like to encourage all company employees to participate in the Innovation Awards, because it’s truly an extraordinary experience.
