Equans France: A Key Player in Hospital Performance
Spotlight on @Lariboisière Hospital (AP-HP), located in Paris’s 10th arrondissement. A project designed to address the hospital’s challenges and support patients, healthcare staff, and healthcare professionals.
Our employees, who have been working on the various buildings of the hospital complex since 2018, are now contributing to the construction of the New Lariboisière, a 47,000-square-meter core facility spanning 10 floors and organized around a technical wing. This new facility will house nearly 500 beds, a maternity ward, 17 operating rooms, a medical imaging department, a central pharmacy, and the emergency room. At the same time, the renovation of 5,000 m² of the historic wings dating from 1854—which are listed as historic monuments—is continuing, with the goal of eventually housing outpatient clinics and a day hospital.
What are the goals for Axima and Ineo, subsidiaries of Equans France? To ensure comfort, air quality, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency within these spaces by offering solutions that adapt to demographic changes and the AP-HP’s latest healthcare technologies.
Health and usability performance:
💠 Building comfort enhanced by an air-handling system and the installation of four high-performance chillers to ensure user comfort.
💠 Quality of care thanks to the installation of hygienic air handling units to meet the requirements of specific areas, such as operating rooms, critical care units, and sterilization facilities.
💠 Design of the most sensitive technical areas with the installation of exhaust systems and a fume hood for hot nuclear medicine.
💠 High-voltage power systems with a very high level of service to ensure the continuity of operations.
💠 Deployment of fiber-optic cabling throughout the hospital to enable the digitization of communications, with a VDI network.
💠 Building security through the installation of low-voltage systems: video surveillance, access control, anti-abduction devices, and fire safety systems.
Environmental and Energy Performance:
❇️ Optimized energy consumption thanks to variable-speed drives on the chillers, which adjust according to demand, and LED lighting systems that dim based on natural outdoor light levels.
❇️ Facility management and energy monitoring through the implementation of a Building Management System provided by @Equans Digital.
More than 200 employees and partners are working on this project every day—which is scheduled for completion in 2026—while ensuring that hospital operations continue uninterrupted.
