Equans launches its Foundation to combat energy poverty and provide training in energy-related careers for people who are far from the job market
True to the Bouygues Group’s long-standing values of solidarity, Equans announces the launch of the Equans Foundation in France. It will support projects to combat energy poverty and provide training for people who are far from the job market in careers within the energy and services sector.
MISSION 1: Combating Energy Poverty
Over the past five years, energy prices have risen sharply, exacerbating energy poverty. The Foundation’s mission is to implement and fund projects that enable the most disadvantaged individuals and nonprofit organizations to access essential energy systems—so they can eat hot meals, stay warm, preserve food, and maintain personal hygiene. These projects will benefit from skills-based sponsorship. Equans will make the expertise of its teams available to its Foundation and give recycled materials and equipment a second life.
MISSION 2: Supporting training for people facing barriers to employment in energy and related service professions
The Foundation’s second mission is to support the training of those who are far from the job market in careers in the energy sector and related services. This will take the form of scholarships awarded to students for initial training or career transition programs, with no age limit for recipients, and personalized support from a mentor within the company. These training programs will be conducted by specialized organizations with which the Foundation will establish partnerships for the benefit of the students.
