Equans Digital Cyber & Secure IT Solutions (IT2S)—What Is It?
Secure IT Solutions (IT2S) is a new business unit established within the Equans Digital division as of January 1, 2025. This unit focuses on consolidating IT assets by integrating expertise from Bouygues Energies & Services and Ineo Infracom into Equans France.
The goal is to establish a division at the intersection of IT (information technology) and OT (operational technologies), which is industrial robotics.
How large is this division, and what is its presence in the region?
The IT2S division currently has just over 300 employees and 2,500 active clients, with an average satisfaction rating of 9 out of 10. We have a nationwide presence, which allows us to operate effectively throughout the country.
What are the main services offered by this division?
We offer five major service offerings:
- IT Infrastructure,
- Asset Performance (including buildings),
- Smart Workplace (i.e., the digitization of factories and buildings),
- Cybersecurity,
- Support and maintenance services (360° support service center)
What challenges do your solutions address for customers?
Our clients’ challenges are at the heart of our strategy, with solutions that address the three major transitions: energy, industrial, and digital. Our projects are designed to bridge the gap between OT and IT. Within the IT2S division, we provide the IT expertise needed to address these challenges.
Can you give us some examples of projects you've completed recently?
Among our recently completed projects, we have assisted French clients with “retro-transition,” enabling them to repatriate data and solutions that were previously hosted in U.S. data centers, in order to regain national sovereignty.
We also helped a local government in northern France modernize its IT infrastructure and interconnect public buildings.
This solution is monitored via a centralized system installed at the police station to ensure enhanced security for residents.
What are Equans' strengths in cybersecurity?
Our team consists of 25 people who hold PASSI certification issued by ANSSI. We provide cybersecurity expertise across our clients’ entire value chain, from the industrial IT systems embedded in robots to information systems. Recognizing that attacks often target vulnerable systems, we implement tailored security solutions to protect both robots and interconnected systems.
