To guarantee support in all or part of the life cycle of structures, Equans Digital Solutions has created BIM Life®, an approach centred on performance, carbon neutrality and responsible progress.
The BIM ecosystem, a new way of working
In the same vein as automotive and aerospace, construction is now resolutely focused on digital. BIM revolutionises how buildings are designed, constructed and operated through 3D modelling. This single interface replicates objects in 3D and gives access to a collection of data. This digital ecosystem thus addresses the optimisation and performance challenges of players in industry, the service sector, cities and public authorities. With BIM, buildings and infrastructure are smarter and more effective and can evolve with their uses and environments.
BIM Life®
Therefore, to meet both the financial and environmental performance needs of clients, and to guide them through the whole life cycle of their assets, we have developed our own Building Information Modelling brand: BIM Life®. What is CIM?
CIM concerns the whole urban space: roads, urban networks (water, energy, telecommunications, lighting, sanitation, Wi-Fi), plants, rainwater management, waste management, urban furniture, buildings and more. It aims to guarantee an excellent understanding of an urban project by looking at the context of its use and the environmental context and ultimately guaranteeing successful integration into its territory.
BIM Life® and CIM, allies of the Smart City
BIM Life®, with its CIM approach, is capable of collecting, analysing and modelling the data of cities without limiting itself to information useful for building owners and tenants. This information can be viewed on the BIM digital model and can be used to bring the building into line with its environment, while ensuring user comfort.
